The schedule

Meet new people

Grab a name badge and a drink, wear a smile and you’ll meet some lovely people who want to talk to you about search (and probably other stuff, too!).

18:45 - 19:00

Charity Spotlight: Brave Futures

As a specialist support service for children and young people that have experienced sexual abuse, Brave Futures have been there for thousands of children in the local community, no child should have to recover and make sense of this trauma alone.

Everyone at Brave Futures believes that every child has the right to a childhood free from sexual abuse. Yet the reality is that it is happening far more than people realise.

We are now able to look at prevention. This can be achieved through education, early intervention and raising awareness. Brave Futures plan to ensure that we are all working together to keep our children and young people safe.

19:00 - 19:30

First talk: ChatGPT's Code Interpreter: Your Secret Weapon for SEO Automation Success

In this talk, Seb will show how ChatGPT’s Code Interpreter is the cheat code you need to start automating SEO tasks and improve your data analysis abilities using Python - no prior coding skills required!

Seb will discuss the kinds of SEO activities you can automate with Python and how to use ChatGPT to get started, including what tools to use, example projects and prompts, how to resolve errors, and how to use ChatGPT to develop your own coding skills.

Not coded with Python before? No worries! Whether you’ve taken a Python course in the past but struggled to apply it to the day job, or are completely fresh to coding, Seb will show you how to add another string to your SEO bow.

19:30 - 20:00

Networking and chats

Refill your glasses, grab some snacks and share your thoughts on what you’ve just learned! Drinks and snacks are kindly provided by our sponsor, Search Intelligence.

20:00 - 20:30

Second talk: Empowering In-House Content Projects with AI

In this talk, Yagmur Simsek (SEO Manager) will explore how AI tools can streamline content creation, from automating tasks to sparking new ideas, making it both easier and more efficient for any team to produce engaging content.

You'll learn the basics of incorporating AI into your strategy without deep technical know-how and discover that integrating AI isn't daunting but a practical step towards enhancing and tailoring your content creation process to your audience's needs.

Yagmur will share her insights on starting small and gradually expanding your AI use, ensuring a clear path to transforming your content projects.

20:30 - 21:00

Last chance to make those connections, add that cool new person on LinkedIn and share a drink or two before we finish for the evening.

Sign-up for all the latest news and updates. Be the first to hear about new speakers and events.

  • Please do! Sometimes it can be intimidating to go to a room with a bunch of strangers.

All you'll need to do is to share the event link with friends and colleagues, so they can sign up for the event.

  • We will always provide vegan and vegetarian and gluten-free options for food and drink where possible. In the case of specifically ordered food, we’ll put a label nearby so you know what is suitable for you. If you have any other dietary requirements please let us know.

  • Apart from meeting lovely people like yourself, you'll experience some of the most technical conversations going – “Why did Google say they weren’t parsing second-wave javascript inserted canonical tags when it’s proven they do?" – you know, the usual conversation starters!

You’ll also meet people not like you, which is probably more important. Chat with in-house digital marketers or freelancers to hear what they’re saying about working with agencies and what they really need help with.

There’s so much marketing talent in Norwich, including agencies working with huge global brands. Let’s learn together and help each other so we can all get better at our jobs and keep Norwich on the map!

  • Working in-house gives you the chance to get closer to the brand than anyone, but it’s a double-edged sword. It can be refreshing to meet agency people who work over a varied cross-section of verticals and have had the luxury of trying (and failing) with a wide range of strategies.

Getting to know other digital marketers can lead to great conversations about how to handle the specific challenges of working in-house and how to get the best from agencies.

It's all about collaboration and cooperation, when we learn together, it benefits everyone.

  • Great digital talent is hard to find and even harder to attract and you’re going to be in a room full of people who are involved in it – we’ve partnered with the University of East Anglia and Norwich City College, so you’ll be able to meet the next rising star in the digital marketing world.

The talks will give you a strategic insight into what to consider for your business. You’ll also be in a room full of people that will want to talk to you about it. They’ll also be great networking opportunities with other local businesses.

  • In a nutshell, you may find your next employer or apprenticeship in search marketing at SearchNorwich.

You’ll also get invaluable insight into the day-to-day of companies who do search marketing and learn how agencies plan or execute campaigns.

There’s also free food and drink if that student loan is looking tight.
